Dental & Medical Care in Thailand

Nearly all areas in Thailand, even small towns, have at least a pharmacy and clinic. The level of care and degree of English language ability vary greatly. If you are going off the beaten track, you should consider printing up some relevant Thai phrases .. @ Thai Script Phrases There are dentists in small towns in Thailand, but the situation is essentially the same in terms of English and quality of care. If possible, it is better to have dental problems taken care of in urban centers such as Bangkok, Phuket and Chiang Mai.

• English is widely spoken
• Level of care varies from excellent to pretty good

Most medicine that is available only by prescription in the West can be purchased over the counter in Thailand. This includes heart, blood pressure, blood sugar, ulcer, pain and other types of medication including antibiotics.
