Marine Biological Research Center An aquarium featuring saltwater as well as fresh water fish also breeds sea turtles for release into the ocean. They do research on tropical reefs ecosystems and commercial fisheries.

Phuket Sea Shell Museum A private museum that is said to house the most valuable collection of seashells in the world. Most are from the local area, but seashells from around the globe are included. Unique displays include the world's largest golden pearl at 140 carats, sections of fossilized seashells and a shell the weighs in at 250 kg.

Naga Pearl Farm Cultured pearls from Phuket have different hues and tones than those of Japan and other regions. This farm presents a culturing demonstration and has bungalows for overnight stays. Also a recreation site with sailing, swimming, wind surfing

Phuket Points of Interest
Khao Rang Hill Excellent views of Phuket Town and surrounding area. Also features several restaurants plus an exercise park. You will also find the largest Buddha statue on the island.

Saphan Hin An Australian, Captain Edward Miles, brought the first dredge to Thailand that was used in the recovery of tin. His statue overlooks the sea. Saphan Hin also boasts a sports center, restaurants, a boxing stadium and two colleges.

Phuket Temples
Chalong Temple Notable in that a former abbot, Luang Por Cham, helped the local people subdue the Chinese Coolie rebellion in 1876. Statues of the Luang Por and several past abbots of the temple. About 8 km out of Phuket Town.
