Fresh seafood is understandably popular and you can choose from a variety of live catch at the lively restaurants on Walking Street. Many of the large hotels offer special Sunday brunches and weeknight buffets for a fixed price.
Consult local advertising for the choice on offer.
Pattaya Street Vendors
Street food is available everywhere, most of which is very tasty and perfectly safe to eat. Just look for a vendor who cooks food to order and has lots of customers.
By way of introduction to local food try the food halls located on the upper floors of the shopping malls. Easy to see, buy and try with a high standard of cleanliness in preparation, presentation etc. and inexpensive (less than Bt 100 per person)
Pattaya Fast Food
For those who are not enticed by the delightful international and local food on offer you’ll be comforted by the availability of McDonald’s, Burger King, KFC, Pizza Hut, and Starbucks.
There are excellent international style supermarkets present in Pattaya including Tesco Lotus, Carrefour, Foodland and Big C. Ready meals, hot food, cold preparations, salads, fresh bread etc abound.
Just like home, so if your budget is limited you can eat to suit your purse from supermarkets, Thai markets, local street vendors and Thai restaurants. But please remember - any food, cooked or uncooked, left in the heat for even a short length of time is apt to be unsafe to eat.
