Chiang Mai Flying Club
Founded in 1998 by a group of dedicated enthusiasts, the Chiang Mai Flying Club has now grown to
attract over 250 members. The club owns a Cessna 152 and
a Cessna 150, 2 seat training aircraft.In addition there are currently three more four seat aircraft, including a Piper Arrow and 2 C172's. These are privately owned but are available for hire by suitably qualified club members.
The club also run a town office, manned during normal office hours, close to Chiang Mai International Airport.

Thailand, with friendly people, well-equipped airports, interesting airstrips and helpful air traffic controllers makes a great place to fly. There are very few days in the year when the weather hampers VFR flying and the stunning scenery amongst the hills and mountains of this northern province make piloting relatively easy and great fun.

Come and join our intensive course. Cost includes full ground-school and 40 hours flying training. Courses are tailored to suit individual student requirements and are ideal for those who wish to complete the Private Pilot's Course in the minimum time.Thai Department of Aviation PPL examinations are held every three months. In addition the club run regular approved technical ground school courses at weekends.
As a licensed pilot with a converted Thai licence you can rent a plane from the club, with or without a safety pilot by your side or join our regular pilot training courses and learn to fly yourself. Flight instruction is available and undertaken by our experienced instructors.
The club undertake private pilot's licence training courses, under the authority of the Thai Department of Aviation; this includes both ground school technical and flying training from its airfield at Lamphun and its school premises in Chiang Mai. Trial lesson:
If you have ever wanted to try your hand at flying then come and have a trial flight lesson with one of our flight instructors. The club has a special package which includes temporary membership, 1 hour briefing + 1 hour flying, pick up from/to Chiang Mai hotel, certificate and hat! The club can offer aircraft parking and hangarage for private owners and contract maintenance facilities are available by negotiation with our licensed engineer.Chiang Mai Flying Club situated near Lamphun is just 25 minutes from downtown Chiang Mai and will give a warm welcome to visiting aircraft, pilots, student pilots and anyone interested in joining our club.
