Ad Makers Pub & Restaurant (Ploenchit Road, Patumwan tel 02-652 0169). Some of Bangkok' finest bands play here nightly from about 8 PM.
Ban Kebtawan (65 Soi Sukhumvit 63, Ekkamai Soi 1 Phrakhanong tel 02-381 4017). The music is primarily folk and songs for life and starts at about 9 PM. The decor has a kind of basic "Wild West" feel to it.

Henry J. Bean's is in the Amari Watergate Hotel (tel 02-653 9000). It is an American style "diner" in the basement of the hotel. Good bands play rock and pop covers beginning at about 9 PM.
Huntsman Pub is located in the Landmark Hotel on Sukhumvit Road (tel 02-254 0404) and features excellent rock and pop bands from 9 PM.
Old Town (02-279-7720), at the intersection of Suthisarn and Viphavadee Roads, showcases authentic American country and western music beginning nightly starting at 8 PM. It is performed by Thai musicians and frequently you'll see Thai cowboys and cowgirls enjoying the show.
In the Sarasin area is the Old West Saloon (02- 252-9510) with country and western bands performing nightly.
Passing the test of time is the Rock Pub on Payathai Road, opposite the Asia Hotel. (tel 02-208 9664 & 02-208 9013). This venue lives up to its name. Rock is king here.
Unlike Rock Pub, Roots Reggae Pub on Sukhumvit Soi 26 (tel 02-259 7002) does not always live up to its name. It also features, some would say unfortunately, rap music. It is, however, perhaps the only Reggae oriented venue in Bangkok.
At The Saxophone (Victory Monument, tel 02-246 5472) the jazz starts at 9 PM. This club has an excellent reputation for its music, food and service.
Senor Pico's is in the Rembrandt Hotel on Sukhumvit Soi 18 (tel 02-261 7100). Music starts at 7:30 PM and is Latin oriented. If you are wondering whether it is related to the restaurant of the same name in Los Angeles, the answer is yes.
