Chatuchak aka Jatujak is the king of markets. If you can't find it here, it probably doesn't exist. It would takes days, maybe weeks, to see all of this sprawling market.
It is best to go about 9:30 AM before it gets too hot. If you go earlier, most shops won't be open. By noon, you'll probably be hot and tired. There are some air-conditioned restaurants where you can have a bite and cool off.

Similar to Chatuchak but not as big is the Pratunam Market. It is near the intersection of Ratchaprarop and Phetburi Roads, close to the Amari Watergate Hotel. Here you can buy cheap clothes and fabrics. Exporters often buy here.
Bai Yoke Market
Nearby the Pratunam market is the Bai Yoke market. It sells similar goods.
Nai Lert Market
Down the road a bit is the Nai Loet Market, a sort of mini Chatuchak.
Patpong Night Market
Many people like the Patpong ningt market but others find it pricey and too close to the adjacent go-go bars. Any taxi driver knows how to get here.
Banglamphu Market
Banglamphu market is in the Phra Sumen and Chakrapong Road area. Here, mostly local people buy clothes, household accessories and the like. All along nearby Khao San Road there is "cool stuff" that teenagers might like. Travel gear, patches, funky jewelry and groovy clothes can be purchased here.
Bo-Be Market
On Khlong Saen Saep and Krung Kasem Roads. Cheap clothes and textiles can be found here. Nearby are Wat Ratchanada (in Banglamphu) and Wat Mahathat (in Ko Rattanakosin). There are several amulet markets in the area.
Pak Khlong Market
Pak Klong market is a wholesale flower and vegetable outlet. This market is best for insomniacs because the prime time to go is between 2.00 AM and 4.00 AM when you can see boats from the Chao Phraya River and trucks from the provinces delivering flowers, vegetables, spices, and fruits.
With their good stacked high inside the market and along the streets, it is a great place to get some “realistic” pictures. The market is next to the Memorial Bridge on the edge of Chinatown. There is a general-purpose night market in the area as well.
